The Perfect Site for the Perfect Night
The U.S. National Park Services operates four campgrounds in Shenandoah National Park – each with its own unique amenities and scenic surroundings. Most of Shenandoah National Park, including its wilderness, is open to backcountry camping. The Park has 196,000 acres of wilderness and over 500 miles of trails to explore. A free permit is required for backcountry camping. The Shenandoah River, Shenandoah Valley and town of Luray are a few miles away from the park facilities (lodging, camping, waysides, etc.). This makes Shenandoah Valley campgrounds Park a desirable vacation destination.
