Ride Off into the Beauty
Horseback riding on designated trails is a wonderful way to experience Shenandoah National Park – and a guided ride over the park's wooded trails will give you a whole new appreciation of their splendor.
1 Hour and 2 and ½ hour-long guided trail rides depart from Skyland Stables throughout the day from March 30 through November, weather permitting. The stables are located near Skyland Resort. Guests must be at least 4'10' and weigh less than 250 lbs. to ride horses. Pony rides are available for smaller children 5 years and older, and feet must reach stirrups in order to ride the pony.
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled ride with safe sturdy shoes. No open toes, sandals or flip flops permitted.
